Point system
The points system is an integration of the Otium platform that allows you to receive points based on your participation. Each action performed on Otium, as detailed below, will earn points which will then be used to compose a ranking from which winners will be decided. The aim is to encourage participation and interaction between Crowders on Otium.
Allocation of points
To obtain points, it is necessary to carry out a series of virtual actions aimed at encouraging participation in the social life of Otium. For example, you will get points for posts, comments, likes, etc. (full list below and on Otium). For a balanced rollout of points there will be a limited number of daily points per action.
Example: If a crowder creates 5 posts in one day, only 1 post will earn points for that day. To get points again for a post, you will have to come back to Otium the next day.
Posts and comments, are subject to rules, and must categorically follow the rules
attached in the following link: ACTIONS NOT ALLOWED IN THE COMPETITION
Each action performed on Otium, as specified in the table below, will entitle you to points which will then be used to decide the winners.

Article Blog:
Each Crowder can write an article for our internal column called "Crowd Stories" which will be visible on Otium. The articles must be at least 300 words long and written on the given topics below. To know what to do and what not to do, see the specific rules for writing articles IN THE FILE BELOW: ARTICLE RULES.
To post an article go to the 'Crowd News' tab and on the bottom left you will see 'Crowd Stories'. Choose your country and post your article!
In addition, every week there will be an evaluation of the articles. The best articles will be published on the Crowdville blog and therefore also readable outside our community. In this case, the Crowder author of the article will be awarded an additional bonus of 5 points.
Creating a video:
The creation of a Crowdville video means the creation of original content agreed directly with the Community Managers. Each week a list of content will be posted on a special group. Proposals and ideas will be discussed in the same group. Once the CM's approval has been received, the video can be produced. Once completed, the video will be sent for a final review and published by the CMs on a YouTube or Vimeo channel created specifically for the Crowders.
Before proceeding to create a video, please read the VIDEO RULES in the FAQ (Credits - Top right tab)
Always inform the Community Manager in Crowd Video group of your intent to make a video. Once you are given the greenlight, go ahead and create your video and when complete, again inform the Community Managers in the Crowd Video group, where you will be then instructed on how to share the video.
If you have any doubts, you can always contact the Community Managers to ask for advice on the topics or if you think other topics might be of interest to our community.
Mini challenges:
Mini challenges are short period challenges that will be triggered by a notification launched via the app. They are like small treasure hunts with variable prizes; crowders will receive a notification on the app with the action to be performed and the time available to do it.
Example: there could be a mini challenge asking people to 'share' or ‘like’ a specific Crowdville Facebook post. Or there could be a request to fill in a survey for which random crowders will be rewarded.
Prizes will vary according to the challenge and to participate you need to download the Crowdville app and activate the notifications.
Ranking and Badges
The ranking will be in order of points earned by each Crowder. A badge will be earned at each level to show your ranking. Earning a badge, will not garner any points, it will serve to show the
level of participation the Crowder has in the community. This will serve as an advantage in the future, as it will show other Crowders, as well as the Crowdville staff, your level of participation and therefore reliability over time. Badges will be awarded on reaching certain point thresholds, as listed below
The badges are:
CrowdRookie 50pt.
CrowdFriendly 100pt.
CrowdAssociate 200pt.
Crowderone 500pt.
CrowdNerd 1000pt.
CrowdMaster 1500pt.
CrowdKing 3500pt.
InfluCrowder 5000pt.
NB: Publication of articles on Crowdville implies the waiver of copyright as part of the competition
